AYSO Indoor Program

Is your son or daughter in the U5-U10 Division and looking for more soccer during the winter?

The fall season may be ending in November, but that doesn’t mean your child has to wait until spring for a chance to play soccer again.

Conveniently located behind Dominick’s in Northfield, the Region 425 Indoor Program provides extra soccer instruction over the winter months for those interested in additional playing opportunities.

The program will focus on player development in a positive coaching environment.  Participants will have a chance to improve their technical skills in ball handling, passing and shooting.  Sessions include games that incorporate the day's theme and will always conclude with a small-sided scrimmage.  Programs are age-appropriate with a limited number of participants per session.

The Indoor Sessions are held at 287 Northfield Rd. in Northfield IL.  (This is the first building directly located behind the Dominick's on Willow Road in Northfield).

U5 Pre-Kindergarten: Boys and Girls Wednesdays 4pm
U6 Kindergarten Girls: Saturdays 9:00am
U6 Kindergarten Boys: Saturdays 8:00am
U7 First Grade Boys: Saturdays 11:00am or 1:00pm
U7 First Grade Girls: Saturdays 10:00am
U8 Second Grade Boys: Tuesdays 6:00pm
U8 Second Grade Girls: Wednesdays 5:00pm or Saturdays 12:00pm
U10 Third and Fourth Grade Boys: Tuesdays at 7:00pm
U10 Third and Fourth Grade Girls: Wednesdays 6:00pm

Registration is at eayso.org. Please log-in, select "Signup for Other Programs" and following instructions to select the appropriate league for your child.  Once you have done so, please go back to your eayso.org home page and select "Online Payments."  Here, you can pay for the program.  Once you have done so, we will put through your registration and place your child in a program.  You will then receive an e-mail from Lindsay asking what time (if there is more than on available) you would like as well as confirm your registration.

The cost is $215 for one hour-long training session per week, for 10 weeks.  Only registered AYSO players are eligible.  AYSO does not offer refunds except if a program is cancelled due to low enrollment.

The 10 week Winter Program starts January 2, 2011 and ends the week of March 5, 2011.  Space is limited.  Check your email for registration dates, coming soon.

Learn more about the Program Director and Lead Trainer, Lindsay Hoelter:

Lindsay Hoelter brings an impressive resume to AYSO, both as a player at the elite level and as a coach with extensive experience developing boys and girls of all ages. An AYSO Advanced Coach and Coach Instructor, Lindsay is certified and licensed by the United States Soccer Federation and by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Lindsay is currently the Girl's Middle School Head Coach at North Shore Country Day in Winnetka, and her coaching background includes initiating an after school All Star Soccer Program for middle school girls in a south side Chicago Public School while also coaching 5th - 8th grade boys. Additionally she has coached at various soccer camps at NCAA Division I programs, including most recently at Penn State University working with Erica Walsh, Assistant Coach for the United States Women's World Cup Team.

Lindsay's playing resume is just as impressive as her coaching credentials. Selected by Parade Magazine for its All American Soccer Team, Lindsay led her club team to six state championships and to the U.S. Final Four on two occasions. Along the way she earned a soccer scholarship to the University of Wisconsin where she started all four years and still ranks among the program's top 10 leaders for both the number of career and season assists. A three time Academic All-Big Ten and two time Second Team All-Big Ten honoree in college, Lindsay went on to enjoy a distinguished semi-pro career with a national championship team, competing with and against some of the best soccer players in the world.
