U12G EXTRA Information

AYSO Region
425 will be offering free “Introduction
to EXTRA” clinics starting Sunday, October 16, from 3:30-4:30 at Corwin
field for all registered U12 AYSO girls.

What is EXTRA?

AYSO EXTRA,
a PROGRESSIVE PLAYER PROGRAM, is designed for players who have the interest,
skills and abilities and want to enhance their experience and individual growth
through soccer, while retaining the spirit and organization of AYSO. EXTRA is not designed to overshadow or
harm the standard primary program – rather the goal is to strengthen AYSO by
recruiting and retaining players and volunteers through providing more
competitive play the AYSO way – all EXTRA programs embrace the Six Philosophies
of AYSO.

Why “Intro to EXTRA?”

Currently
our Region has EXTRA teams in the U10 and U12 Boys Divisions, as well as in the
U10 Girls Division, and they have been competing against other EXTRA teams from
Regions such as Highland Park, Glenview and Lake Forest. Our goal is to have a U12 Girls EXTRA team
for the 2012 spring season and to offer additional training through our winter
indoor program (details to be announced later).

If your
daughter wants to have the EXTRA experience and find out if the program is
right for her, check out our free “Intro
to EXTRA” clinics on October 16, October 23 and October 30. Sessions will be an hour long and run
by our professional UK International trainers.
