U5 Program Information

Parents,

Welcome to AYSO Region 425’s U5 Program! We have put together a quick fact sheet about this division which should answer any questions you may have about the program. Please take a look at the information below:

Fall Season-The season starts Tuesday, September 6th, and the first games are on Saturday, September 10th. There will be no games the weekend of  October 8th and the season ends the weekend of November 6th.

Registration-The registration fee covers the fall and spring seasons

Equipment-All players MUST wear shin guards to practices and games. Players will not be allowed to participate if they don’t have shin guards. Players can wear soccer cleats or running/gym shoes. Jerseys, shorts and socks, are provided by AYSO and will be handed out at the first practice and/or game.

Teams-There are no set teams for U5 players. On game days parents will take teams of 5 or 6 players and supervise games of 5 v. 5. UK International trainers will run a warm up for all of the players and they will be on hand to help parents coach the games.

U5 Games-Games are ALWAYS on Saturdays at Central School in Glencoe at 8:30 am or 9:30 am.

Practices-Practices are 45 minutes long and are on Tuesdays at 9:30, 10:15, 12:45 and 1:30.  Practices will be located at Little Duke Field in Winnetka. The first practice is September 6th. A parent or guardian must stay for the duration of the practice.

Signing up for game and practice times-Please email kate@ayso425.com with "U5 Sign Up" as the subject.  Include your name, your child’s name, choice of practice time and choice of game time. If your preferred time is closed, we will let you know and you will have the opportunity to select a different time.

Cancellations-In the event of bad weather and/or poor field conditions, AYSO will immediately post cancellation information on our website, www.playsoccer.org.
