Q:  What is the Registration Fee used for?

A:  AYSO Region 425 is a not-for-profit, volunteer organization.  The majority of your registration fee is used to purchase uniforms/equipment and to pay for field maintenance and field fees.  We also offer professional trainers throughout our program which many other regions do not offer.

Q:  Why do I need to fax or mail a signed original registration form?

A:  This is required by AYSO National in order to complete your registration and have your child covered under AYSO's insurance policy at games and practices.

Q:  Why does the fee increase after the early registration deadline?  Why can't I register all the way up to the start of the season?

A:  Forming teams, scheduling practices and scheduling games is a huge undertaking for our volunteers.  Also, many parents like to know their soccer schedule early so that they can schedule other activities around practices and games.  Our fees are structured to encourage early registration so that our volunteers have more time to complete their work and provide schedule information to parents.  In addition, there are additional costs that AYSO incurs when registering and placing late registrants on teams.

Q:  Why do I have to register and pay for both the Fall and Spring seasons?  Why can't I get a discount for registering for just Fall or just Spring.

A:  Most of our registration fee is used to pay for uniforms, field maintenance and field fees.  Therefor, our costs are the same whether someone plays for half or the full season.  Also, forming teams is a very complex process, so to reduce the burden on our volunteers, we keep the teams the same for Fall and Spring.
